Daniel Illescas

Dan joined Slate in 2025 and currently serves as an analyst at SCALE, Slate’s real estate credit investment platform. His primary responsibilities include underwriting new credit opportunities, monitoring investment performance, and asset management of SCALE’s existing portfolio.

Prior to Slate, Dan worked on the real estate banking team at J.P. Morgan, where he worked on credit originations and asset management across all real estate asset types. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
